In February 1935 Dinnages came into being at Wivelsfield Road, Haywards Heath, started by the late James W Dinnage.

From the early days we have been associated with Ford Motor Co, holding a Retail Dealership in the years before the war.

When war was declared in September 1939 our Garage premises were promptly requisitioned. The army authorities considered them ideal for a stores depot and for the service and maintenance of military vehicles.

When the Canadian Army moved into Sussex in preparation for the Second Front, they turned our Wivelsfield Road premises into a command workshop. Many of the lorries and trucks used by the Canadians in Normandy after the D-Day landings in 1944 were prepared for that hazardous experience at Dinnages.

After the war Dinnages re-opened as a Ford Dealer, and soon needed to expand and develop to cope with the demands of a growing business.

In January 1956 we were awarded Ford Main Dealer status and the foundation were laid for a flourishing business.

1967 saw the addition of our Burgess Hill dealership, required to cope with our ever-increasing customer base.

This site underwent major re-development in 1996 and today offers the latest range of new Fords in our purpose built showroom and fully trained technicians to care for your Ford. A fully stocked parts department and excellent range of used cars complete a personal service experience you can expect at all our dealerships.

In March 2001 the business grew further still with acquisition of our third dealership in Brougham Road, Worthing. Not wishing to stand still we completely re-developed and expanded our Worthing site with the addition of a Service Advice Centre, Rapid Fit and MOT bays. Two transit bays and complete refitting of our state of the art workshop followed.

The showroom and Customer areas were completely rebuilt ensuring that we can now offer an exceptional retail experience in exceptional surroundings.

In January 2007,we have expanded further still to become the new Renault Main Dealer for Mid-Sussex at our new purpose built showroom in Haywards Heath. This showroom is complimented by our refurbished Ford showroom next door. With our joint service reception and separate Renault workshop,Dinnages is the ideal spot for servicing, maintenance and MOT’s.
Dinnages also have a dedicated business specialist who can visit you at your place of work and supply contract hire and leasing quotations to suit your needs.Extended vehicle demonstrations are also a possibility.

Over 70 Years on all Dinnages sites still operate as a family run business with all Directors involved in the business on a day to day basis.
